SD County Average Gas Price Rises To Highest Amount Since Jan. 28, 2020

Sklar, Times of San Diego February 19, 2021 The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County rose Friday for the 29th time in 30 days, jumping 2.5 cents to $3.571, its highest amount since Jan. 28, 2020. The average price has increased 22.6 cents over the past 30 days, including a 1.1 cents on Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 5.5 cents more than one week ago and 22.5 cents higher than one month ago but 1.4 cents less than one year ago. "This week's ice storms in Texas shut down oil refinery production, but that is unlikely to affect prices locally because California receives no oil from Texas," said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California's corporate communications manager.
