SALEM, NH — A Massachusetts driver was arrested on Saturday accused of drunk driving and crashing into a New Hampshire State Police cruiser.
Around 1:45 a.m., a state trooper, in a fully marked cruiser, reported seeing a Maserati SUV, traveling south on Interstate 93 in Salem and "almost crashed into the rear of another vehicle," according to Lt. Bryan Trask of Troop B.
"The Maserati then swerved left and then right sideswiping (the trooper's) cruiser," Trask said.
The SUV was pulled over and after an investigation, Alex Alvarez, 26, of Haverhill, Massachusetts, was arrested on a driving under the influence-alcohol charge.
Trask said no one was injured due to the crash.
