JOLIET, IL — A 44-year-old Joliet man was taken away in handcuffs Thursday afternoon during a Joliet police raid at his house in the 200 block of Munroe Street, the city's southeast side. Maurice Robinson was charged with possession of controlled substances with intent to deliver them and two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon by a convicted felon.
Robinson was also charged with possession of drug equipment and not having a FOID.
The house raid began at 1:35 p.m.
"Robinson was located within the residence and taken into custody without incident. Upon search of the residence, officers recovered a loaded firearm, ammunition, Ecstasy pills, and numerous drug equipment items," Joliet police announced.
Robinson is now being lodged in the Will County Jail.
