Vernon Township today launches a phone outreach program to educate senior citizens on how to obtain the COVID vaccine.
"Operated by Vernon Township board members, staff, and volunteers, the outreach will initially focus on senior citizens, telling them why and how to get the vaccine, including helping them with transportation issues in getting to the vaccination site," said Vernon Township Board Supervisor Jonathan Altenberg. "We will also hold two online informational webinars next week on the vaccine."
After reaching senior citizens, the outreach will target other Vernon Township residents.
