Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Friday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District. The seven-day rolling averages of added COVID-19 cases and confirmed deaths from the disease dropped in the Northeast Health District.One of the added deaths was in Oconee County, which now has 56 confirmed deaths from the disease.The rolling averages of added cases fell in both Oconee and Clarke counties.Area hospitals reported drops in COVID-19 patients and ICU bed use.Oconee County Schools had 10 Active COVID-19 Cases and 65 Active Quarantines, down from 17 Active Cases and 86 Active Quarantines a week earlier.The total number of second doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered now represents 3.1 percent of the population of the Northeast Health District.For details and for state comparisons, please click through to Oconee County Observations.
