Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Saturday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District. The Northeast Health District added eight confirmed COVID-19 deaths, with one of those in Clarke County.The District added 132 new cases of the disease.The seven-day rolling average of added deaths dropped just slightly, while the seven-day rolling average of added cases declined more substantially.The seven-day rolling average of added cases fell in both Oconee and Clarke counties.The number of COVID-19 patients at area hospitals fell, while the number of ICU beds in use increased.The Northeast Health District added 1,477 COVID-19 vaccinations on Saturday.For details and for state comparisons, please click through to Oconee County Observations.
