Everything you need to know to establish a F.A.I.T.H (Food Available In The Home) Garden here in Americus, GA. Everything you need to know to grow food for your family and community in raised bed food gardens here in Southwest Georgia. In an hands-on workshop, we’ll cover how to pick a great garden spot, DIY raised bed installation, the secrets of good soil, what/when/how to plant, where to buy plants & seeds, good watering practices, a primer on pest management and what/when to harvest. Expect stories. Be ready to get your hands dirty. Bring your questions. (Experienced gardeners also welcome.) Leave with a 5 gallon grow bucket and resource guides. Please wear face mask. Bring a water bottle. Hand sanitizers and Mobile Hand Washing Station will be available on site. We will follow COVID protocol.
