Job Description Warehouse Supervisor/ Dock Manager We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing activities. You will implement production, productivity, quality and customer service standards and achieve the appropriate level of volume within time limits. The goal is to ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations and to increase the company’s overall market share. Responsibilities This position will be responsible for all aspects of warehousing including: Recruiting, Lumping, unloading, loading, receiving, shipping, material handling, selecting, and inventory control. Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of end product/results. Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and worker performance Quality control and accuracy, this individual will develop and maintain a level of accountability at all levels Communicate job expectations and coach workers as needed Determine staffing levels and assign workload Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices Confer and coordinate activities with other levels of management Work within budgetary constraints as necessary Requirements Proven team management skills Proven warehouse supervisory experience Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency, including ERP / WMS / RF / voice picking Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data Hands-on commitment to getting the job done Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations Strong organizational and time management skills BS degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration is preferred but not required Experience with OSHA and DOT regulations KEY ATTRIBUTES / COMPETENCIES: Ability to work under own initiative to tight deadlines Ability to work under pressure at pace Process oriented Organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Effective communicator Ability to be a role model and lead by example Ability to solve problems and introduce innovation Pro-active in all aspects of supply chain and planning management Experienced in management of third parties and stakeholders Ability to assess risks and opportunities.
