Since 1936, Ries Tripod and Ries Productions have been and always will be made in the USA. We take great care in the production quality of our components. We make all of our parts right here in our factory in Washington State. Ries Productions is seeking for the right person for our industrial machine shop. We are looking for that next career 20+ year person. Please go to our website, www.riestripod.com, and look at all of our products. You will be required to make every single part of everything we make. Starting from raw materials all the way to coatings, assembly and shipping. If you are the right person we will train you how to do it all. We are excellent at training you just have to be good at learning. This is a very high tech manufacturing facility and does not require a lot of people. On a typical day there will be just you and maybe one part time person working so everyone has to do everything. It sounds daunting but the shop is quite small considering all that it produces. Duties will require: 1. Lifting up to 50 pounds, up to waist level. 2. Bending and kneeling. 3. Climbing ladders. 4. Pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds. 5. Reaching above head with up to 15 pounds. Duties and Responsibilities, everyone starts here: 1. Sweeping and mopping shop floor. This will require moving stools, carts and other objects, to clean surfaces. 2. Wiping down and cleaning machines. Cleaning dirt and other shop residue from machines with proper solvents/cleaners and towels. 3. Empty wood dust collector. Remove and bag wood chips, shavings and dust from dust collector barrel and filter-bags. 4. Empty and clean metal chip and shavings from machines. All the shavings are to be bagged for recycling. 5. Clean and remove dust in all areas of the building. 6. Vacuuming all areas with carpet. 7. Empty and clean trash cans throughout the building. 8. Sweep and discard litter in the parking lot and around the building. 9. Clean windows inside and outside throughout the building. 10. Clean Bathroom sinks, counter-tops, fixtures toilets and floors with various cleaners, towels and brushes. 11. Move and stack various materials as required. 12. Clean and organize tools and tool boxes. 13. Maintenance duties such as remove and replace light bulbs, changing filters, changing batteries, repairing odds and ends such as door knobs, toilet seats, faucets, light fixtures, etc... 14. Check and clean all fire extinguishers each month for expiration dates and indicating green. Areas around fire extinguishers are clear of any obstacles. 15. Light duty carpentry as needed. 16. Light duty painting and wall repair as needed. Ries Productions will train the right candidate to: 17. Operate and maintain wood working machines. 18. Operate and maintain CNC machines. 19. Operate and maintain 3D Printers. 20. Operate and maintain Lasers. 21. Apply coatings to our products using spray gun in a spray booth. 22. Manual machining of metals. 23. Work as a team member, meeting professional standards of cooperation, communication and appearance. 24. Assemble final products from parts with accuracy and quality. 25. Make certain that all tasks are completed following the quality standards established for the product manufactured. 26. Design and engineering using SolidWorks CAD and SolidCAM software. 27. Understand and write g-code. Requirements: 1. Be on-time as scheduled. Ability to be at work on time. 2. No personal cell phones allowed in the shop. Emergency contact will be through the company phone only. 3. Must be focused on work and does not require constant motivation. 4. Must be able to recognize what areas need to be completed and create a plan for the goals of the day. 5. Self starter, hard working, motivated and dedicated. Really important! 6. Legally allowed to work in Washington State. 7. Basic English Skills. 8. Ability and eagerness to learn. 9. Be brave. Do not fear the unknown. 10. Adapt and overcome. and finally and most important: 11. Willing to learn and use Kaizen Process. Everything we do is based on this one philosophy. If you don't want to learn and use this skill, stop reading and goodbye. Preferred experience: 1. Woodworking experience in a wood shop setting up tools and fixtures and milling techniques. 2. Working knowledge in using hand held quality control inspection tools such as measuring tapes, micrometers and calipers. 3. Basic geometry and mathematics. Working knowledge of fractions and decimal inch measuring standards. 4. Some experience in interpreting drawings, parts lists and assembly drawings. 5. Knowledge and experience using of Kaizen Process. Former or retired US military veterans will go straight to the front of the line. Applicants can apply by U.S. Mail or email.
