SUMMARY: Fortune 500 manufacturing company is looking for Warehouse Packers Associates needed to work at a Manufacturing facility in Canandaigua, NY to perform general labor functions in a plant that produces foams and plastics for consumer and food service clients. JOB REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: - High School Diploma or GED. -Team Members are required to comply with the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Dress Code Policies. -Team Members are required to report to work in accordance with their work schedules and to complete their scheduled shifts as assigned. -Team Members are expected to be familiar with the policies and procedures set forth in the Hourly Employee Handbook and Statement of Business Principles. -Team Members are expected to understand and comply with Plant General Safety Rules, Core Safety Rules, Critical Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing Practices. -Team Members are expected to complete all assigned tasks in accordance with Standard Work Instructions (SWIS), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Process Alerts and Run Rules. -Team Members are expected to communicate any and all unsafe conditions, unsafe behaviors, near misses, incidents and or accidents to a Team Lead, Supervisor or Manager immediately. -Untimely communication of incidents or accidents will be considered a late report. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES: - Inspect parts for defects and proper labeling registration. - Pack completed parts according to customer or company specifications and perform rework as required for defectively labeled or packed parts (ensure proper box counts). - Keep equipment clean and maintain work area. - Assist in training new employees. - Accurately complete all required paperwork. - Use a cart to collect scrap and rejected sheets of parts from lines with the same plastic and transport to grinder room. -Manage all aspects of product packaging for the assigned work cell. -Inspect finished products to ensure that they meet the quality and packaging standards. -Communicate any product quality concerns to the first available QC, Technician, Supervisor or Manager within a timely manner. -Flash, short, color, clarity, fit, incorrect counts, warping, improper stacking, burns, foreign objects, or other concerns that might result in the delivery of non-quality products. -Do not pack products of poor quality, sort and discard as appropriate. -Communicate any packaging concerns to the first available QC, Team Lead, Supervisor and/or Manager in a timely manner. -Boxes with incorrect information or print color, broken/damaged pallets, poor quality or color poly bags, or any other concerns that might result in the delivery of non-quality materials. -Do not use packaging of poor quality, sort and discard as appropriate. -Stack, count and/or weigh products in accordance with the work station guidelines and place in poly bags. Use red tapers to seal bags. -Verify stamp code is correct. Stamp corrugated boxes and use taper to form and seal boxes. -Package finished goods into boxes, Work In Progress (WIP) gaylords or onto pallets in accordance with the established guidelines and/or Run Rules, paying particular attention to packaging or stacking patterns. -Communicate supply needs to section’s Material Handler. Including boxes, poly bags, ink, tape, etc. -Maintain cleanliness of the work areas by sweeping, dusting and removing trash from the area. Assist in maintaining cleanliness of shared areas, such as bathrooms and break rooms. -Remain at assigned work station for breaks until the Team Member scheduled to relieve you arrives. -Remain at assigned work station at the end of your scheduled shift for a minimum of 5 minutes or until the person scheduled to relieve you arrives. -If no one arrives within 5 minutes to relieve you, walk to the QC board and notify a QC Team Member. -Perform other duties as assigned. WORKING SCHEDULE & PAY RANGE: $13.75 3:30 pm– Midnight $14.25 Shift 11:30 pm– 7:30 am Candidates must be able to work Saturday/Sunday. Days off rotate monthly.
