12 Volt Vehicle Installation Technician Commercial Van Solutions (CVS) is a fabricator/builder of commercial van interiors to meet the demands of our customer business needs. We put our experienced professionals to work for our customers to plan, organize, and up fit vans for any of their business needs. We up fit new or existing vans with commercial grade shelving, partitions, ladder racks, power equipment, electrical/electronic equipment, safety, cabinets, drawer units, and more. CVS also constructs customized refrigerated vans and limo/shuttle vans. We are currently recruiting for a 12 Volt Vehicle Installation Technician to assist in the fabricating/building/retrofitting of commercial vans. Job Description: Perform assembly and installation of manufactured and purchased material, hardware and electrical/non-electrical components to complete the interior and the exterior of the vehicle. Install, troubleshoot and repair DC & AC electrical wiring and components. May operate hand and power tools of all types and a variety of other equipment and instruments. Job Duties Include: • Build, assemble and install interior/exterior components • Install electrical/electronic vehicle equipment and/or perform diagnostics/repairs to equipment • Follow wiring diagrams and assembly instructions for various automotive electrical and non-electrical equipment • Wire and install both DC & AC components • Keep assigned area clean and orderly • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations • Other duties as assigned Qualifications: • High School diploma or equivalent • 2 years of automotive wiring and installation experience • Intermediate knowledge of automotive DC electrical systems & vehicle wiring • Ability to read, write, comprehend and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English • Ability to read and use a linear and other measuring devices • Ability to use basic mathematics • Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards • Experience with various tools; voltmeter, wiring hand tools, drills, screw gun, small machinery, power, air and hand tools • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background check • Physical requirements: regularly required to stand, crouch, and kneel; frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms and to use hands and fingers to feel objects, tools and components; occasionally required to stoop or crawl and the ability to talk and hear.
