Join the team! DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform appropriate activities for the safe and expedient cleanup of hazardous waste/toxic materials • Perform tank cleaning, brushing, sweeping, shoveling and pressure washing, following all safety procedures • Operate equipment used in hazardous waste activities • Follow policies and procedures for control and storage of hazardous substances • Maintain cordial working relationships with customers and co-workers • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times • Attend follow-up safety training as required • Fully comply with the Random Drug Testing Program • Perform various housekeeping and custodial duties and other duties as required • Assist with maintenance of facility like unloading trucks and other ancillary duties • Answer 24/7 Emergency Response calls when on stand by • Able to work in all environmental temperatures and extreme weather conditions PHYSICAL CONDITIONS • Pushing / pulling: frequent daily basis • Twisting / turning: frequent daily basis • Lift items over head: frequent daily basis • Standing: 6-8 hours daily • Crouching / stooping: prolonged periods • Typing / data entry: frequent daily basis • Lifting / carrying: frequent daily up to 50 lbs. • Equipment used: emergency air monitoring equipment, emergency response equipment, radio communications equipment QUALIFICATIONS • Must have a valid Driver License • Must provide current DMV printout and have a clean driving record • Must provide proof of 40-hour HAZWOPER certification • Must provide proof of Confined Space Entry certification • High school diploma or GED highly preferred • 3+ years of environmental services industry experience required • 3+ years of hazardous waste control experience required • 2+ years of Oil Spill Cleanup experience required • Must respond to 24/7 ER when on standby • Strong ability to follow safety policies and procedures • Knowledge of federal, state, and local hazardous waste and safety regulations • Ability to work long hours and willing to work overtime (includes day/ night shifts and weekends) Check out our website at www.patriotenvironmental.com.
