Drywall Finisher Commercial Repair and Maintenance Company is seeking a Drywall Finisher to perform and coordinate the taping and sanding of drywall during the construction, remodeling or repair in a commercial setting. The candidate must be proficient working with all drywall hand tools and mechanical tools required to complete their work. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: • Ability to texture and refinish plaster surfaces • Ability and willing to work on new walls and ceilings, and repair existing walls. • Ability to determine and clearly identify proper materials and material quantities for new and existing projects. • Ability to seals joints between plasterboard or other wallboards to prepare wall surface for painting or papering • Use sealing compound using trowel, broad knife, or spatula. • Press paper tape over joint to embed tape into compound and seal joint or tapes joint • Spread and smooth cementing material over tape, using trowel or floating machine to blend joint with wall surface. • Sand rough spots after cement has dried. • Fills cracks and holes in walls and ceiling with sealing compound. • Install metal molding at corners in lieu of sealant and tape. • Apply texturing compound and to walls and ceiling for final finish, using brushes, roller, or spray gun QUALIFICATIONS: • 3+ years of experience in commercial taping • Commercial Construction experience • Painting experience • Strong attention to detail • Strong communication skills • Friendly and positive attitude • Dependable, organized team player • Must have own basic tools for the job
