Skilled Maintenance Technician for a 1939 smoke free historical apartment complex located in Madison Park. Pay Range-$15- $20.00 hourly to start (doe) will train the right person. Hours: Full time (40 hours per week) Monday-Friday plus on call for emergencies alternating weeks as needed. General: •Ability to be available for evening and weekend emergencies every other week or as needed. •Ability to report to work on time and attend scheduled staff meetings. •Serve as a property representative in a professional manner in both behavior and personal appearance. •Work as a team with the other members of the maintenance staff. •Ability to work independently while operating with honesty and integrity. •Operate in a fiscally responsible way at all times. •Fluent in English. Technical: •Perform regularly scheduled turnover as needed and any maintenance tasks requested including, but not limited to work orders, inspections, carpentry, drywall repair, painting, light electrical work, plumbing and appliance troubleshooting. •Perform light construction for projects as needed. •Maintain all equipment in good working order. •Have the ability to evaluate the property for maintenance needs. Qualifications: •2 plus years experience in building/construction maintenance as outlined above. •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to get along with others. •Must be able to pass drug screen. Bonus Qualifications: •Experience in multi-family housing within the last 3 years is a plus. •Working knowledge of gas Boilers and irrigation systems a huge plus.
