A Leather Manufacturing company is seeking an Industrial Sewer and Cutter Job Duties: The primary duty is sewing leather parts on an industrial sewing machine. Normal upkeep/cleaning/maintenance on the machine. Other duties as given by managers. Experience: Sewing background is REQUIRED Industrial Sewing: 1 year (Preferred) Prior experience in sewing leather is required. Experience in sewing with industrial-grade machines. Good mechanical hand skills are required. The incumbent will be tested on-site on sewing skills. Duties: Responsible to Lay out, marks, and cut leather or skins into parts, using leather knife or shears: Lays leather or skins on cutting table and positions pattern pieces on leather or skins to determine number of cuts. Experience: Prior experience is preferred but not required. The right individual will be trained on how to cut. Required to move up to 25 pounds from time to time.
