Job Description Roadway Towing in the Miami / Allapattah area is hiring a Forklift Operator to complete our team. Our vehicle storage yard has to be stocked, organized, maintained and accessible at all times. The vehicle storage site is involved in every aspect of our towing operation, when customer arrives on our premises to retrieve their vehicle or personal items our Forklift Operator is part of a team that works together to help expedite the release of the vehicles. Since we are in the business of towing and storage, you will be lifting, securing open windows, loading and off loading vehicles from the tow trucks, labeling vehicles and objects, or transporting by hand lose parts. The entire team helps load and unload the trucks. Forklift Operator position, is labor intensive position requiring the physical ability to lift a battery weighing from 35-50 pounds. work under the rain and heat. Job Description: ***** MUST KNOW HOW TO OPERATE A SIT DOWN FORKLIFT ***** MUST BE WILLING TO WORK SHOULDER - TO - SHOULDER WITH TEAM ***** MUST BE PHYSICALLY FIT AND HAVE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE *****MUST HAVE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT VEHICLES The yard Forklift Operator must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Must have experience operating a sit down forklift. Must be able to communicate in English. This is NOT a desk job, this is a hands-on kind of career path for someone that thrives on physical work. The Forklift Operator will be working shoulder to shoulder at all times with the team. You must be able to effectively apply given information to all positions you are assigned to. The Forklift Operator will be fully trained for all parts of our yard with the opportunity to lead a group. There is room for growth and we prefer to promote from within our organization. Former work history must be stable with references. Good communication skills are required as you will occasionally interact with customers and will need to explain our rules. You will process reports that must be completed in a time-sensitive and accurate manner.
