LOOKING FOR A FIELD CREW ASSISTANT FOR A LAND SURVEYING COMPANY ***Duties & Responsibilities.... *Adjust and operate surveying instruments such as prisms and electronic distance-measuring equipment. *Maintain equipment and vehicles used by surveying crews. *Perform manual labor, such as cutting brush for lines, carrying stakes, rebar, and other heavy items, and handling rods. *Place and hold measuring tapes. Read out measurements. *Position and hold the vertical rods, or targets, that transit operators use for sighting to measure angles, distances, and elevations. *Provide assistance in the development of methods and procedures for conducting field surveys.*Search for section corners, property irons, and survey points. *Set out and recover stakes, marks, and other monuments. *Maintain equipment and supply inventory, guard inventory and supplies. ***Experience: None, there will be an onsite job training.*** Minimum education required is a high school diploma. ****MUST posses a clean record both criminal and driving. (drug, criminal and DL records will be reviewed either before or after employment and employee will be subject to random drug tests.) ***Candidate must be willing to work weekends, and willing to work late hours with changing of climates.
