A Functional Fitness DEKAtholon from Spartan Race. What is Deka Mile? In short, Deka Mile is the 10 Deka workouts or “Zones” with a 160 meter run in between each zone (1 mile total running) completed for time. What are the Deka Mile Workouts/Zones? The 10 workout zones are: 160 Meter Run - Zone 1: Spartan RAM Squat (30 reps) 160 Meter Run- Zone 2: Row 500m at damper setting 5 160 Meter Run- Zone 3: Box Jump Overs (20 reps) 160 Meter Run- Zone 4: Medicine Ball Sit-Up Throw (25 reps) 160 Meter Run- Zone 5: Ski Erg (500m) at damper setting 5 160 Meter Run- Zone 6: Farmer’s Carry (100m) 160 Meter Run- Zone 7: Air Bike (25 calories) 160 Meter Run- Zone 8: DeadBall Over Shoulder (20 reps) 160 Meter Run- Zone 9: Sled Push/Pull (100m) 160 Meter Run- Zone 10: Spartan RAM Burpee (20 reps) **Please note, equipment and loads may be slightly different than above depending on the venue, weather, etc for the event. The event will be staggered start after the 9am safety brief. Because each station will have equipment for one male & one female, elites will begin first and then work to beginners.
