We provide critical inspections of gas pipelines, so we continue to perform our services and remain open throughout this pandemic. As a Utility Gas Leak Survey Technician, you will be responsible for performing safety inspections using GPS and other digital technologies that are used to perform leak detection surveys for Puget Sound Energy. The Utility Gas Leak Survey Technician will be primarily responsible for the accurate collection of data, safe transporting and operating of all equipment associated with safety gas leak inspections. Our crews are typically solo crews so this is a great job to stay safe during the COVID-19 pandemic! POSITION SUMMARY A typical day as a Utility Gas Leak Survey Technician consists of conducting gas leak survey inspections, identifying corrosion and classifying leaks and condition of gas meters and pipes. Candidates should enjoy working outside and walking multiple miles per day. They must also be computer literate and able to learn new software quickly. Highly valued traits at Hydromax USA include the ability to work independently, complete tasks efficiently and quickly, and possess good communication skills. Highly motivated, quality focused individuals are able to quickly move into advanced pay tiers. QUALIFICATIONS • Ability to work independently and be accountable for production goals/measurements • Able and willing to walk on all terrain and up to 8 or more miles per day • Able and willing to work in all types of weather • A negative pre-employment PHMSA drug screen (including Marijuana) and third-party motor vehicle records and criminal history background checks are required as a condition of employment • Possess good verbal communication skills and enjoy interacting with the general public COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Starting salary is $17.50 with no experience.
