NEW YORK CITY — Actress Olivia Munn's latest starring role could be as a real life hero. A Queens assault featured prominently in a spate of recent posts by Munn calling attention to what she "hate crimes" against people of Asian descent. Munn had a personal connection — the woman attacked on Roosevelt Avenue in Flushing was the mother of a friend, she tweeted. "Queens, Internet, please... do your s---," Munn tweeted Wednesday along with photos of a man NYPD called a suspect. It appears Munn's posts helped. The NYPD's official Twitter page credited the "viral" response to the incident in drawing tips that helped track down the suspect. "Apprehended," the 109th Precinct's official Twitter account posted Thursday morning. The New York Post — which first reported on the arrest — identified the man as Patrick Mateo, 47. Cops previously said the suspect got into an argument Tuesday with the woman before throwing her to the ground — an incident Munn shared on video. "This is the guy you guys helped @nypd find and arrest," Munn wrote. "This is him attacking my friend's mom who is a petite 5-foot-3 Chinese woman. "F--- this guy. The internet is undefeated. Thank you thank you thank you."
