BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — School districts in Bergen County have altered class schedules for Thursday as winter weather could bring up to five inches of snow to the region. With snow likely to continue into Friday, affecting morning commutes, there could be adjustments made for an additional day of classes. Here's what school districts in Bergen County Patch towns have announced so far: Mahwah The district has called a snow day for Thursday ahead of the winter weather. No decision has yet been made for Friday. Before and after school events are canceled, as are any evening activities. Paramus Paramus Public Schools have shifted to remote learning Thursday, citing concerns for travel conditions during dismissal times during the afternoon. All in-person activities are canceled. Westwood Regional Schools in the Westwood Regional District will remain fully remote Thursday. Schedule details were sent out to parents via email, and are posted on the district website. Teaneck Teaneck Schools will remain virtual on Thursday. Ridgewood Ridgewood Schools will transition to remote learning for Thursday. All after school activities are canceled. Fair Lawn All Fair Lawn schools activities will be remote Thursday, including district employees working remotely. There will be no lunch pickup. Saddle Brook Saddle Brook schools will be closed Thursday, and no instruction of any kind will take place.
