Press release from the City of Roseville: February 17, 2021 Become a Recycling Ambassador and be an inspiration for your community to reduce waste and recycle better. The City of Roseville is partnering with Ramsey County to promote the Recycling Ambassador Program. Recycling Ambassadors complete a six-week training to learn more about environmental health, waste systems and recycling. They take that knowledge and volunteer 20 hours (or more) each year to encourage others to reduce, reuse and recycle. Classes meet Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. from March 11 to April 15. Participants must attend all six classes and will receive a $100 stipend upon completion of all six classes. Classes will take place using the Zoom platform. Topics include: Waste systems in Ramsey County Yard waste, food waste and composting Climate change Environmental justice Household hazardous waste General recycling This press release was produced by the City of Roseville.
