Bio-One, located in Madison, seeks a full-time, part-time, and/or on-call individual to perform this Technician role. Specifically, we are looking to fill a Biohazard Remediation Technician. The right candidate will have exposure to the biohazard cleaning process. An ideal candidate may have a First Responder background similar to Fire Firefighters, Police, or EMTs. An ability to empathize with the client is very important and blood borne pathogen training is a plus. While a college degree is preferred, it is not required. Additional information for consideration. You should be able to lift/move furniture and possess a valid drivers license. We also use personal protective gear at all times. What is your comfort level for wearing hazmat suits, gloves, booties, glasses/face shield and dependent on the scenario, using N95 mask, half-face respirator or a full-face respirator? These position(s) could start as early as March. Work days are typcially Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. However, there will be times (though rare) that we will be working after hours to assist families in need. This could include weekends and holidays as well. We operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week throughout the year. The approximate salary for the positions are $50,000 (Full time) and $25,000 (Part time). Experience and background will be taken into consideration. Founded in 2008, Bio-One, is available to help families when they need it the most.
