Basic Purpose: Associate Digital Press Operator position is an entry level position within Print Operations Group. Associate Digital Press operators print materials on high speed monochrome and process color digital printing presses while maintaining adherence to department policies, procedures, and standards to meet clients quality and turnaround service level agreements. Job Responsibilities: 1.Read instructions from job work order and sets up press or presses with appropriate paper stock and consumables. 2.Perform and monitor pre and post processes as needed to produce defined quality output. 3.Maintain a safe working environment. Perform lockout/ tag-out procedures appropriately. 4.Learn to perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment. 5.Learn multiple types of presses within Print Operations Group. 6.Communicate press condition and issues to technician or supervisor accurately. 7.Sees to proper handling and disposal of inks and other hazardous material. 8.May perform other duties/responsibilities as needed or assigned. Preferred Qualifications: •6 months to one year experience in high speed production environment Skills/Competencies: •Continuous Learning: Takes initiative to seek formal/informal training. Develops new skills and improves performance; asks questions to gain understanding. Applies new information, concepts or procedures and learns from experience. •Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrates ability to work in a diverse group environment Ability to work under tight deadlines •PC Skills: Basic •Time Management: Uses time efficiently; works at a pace to get things done within an appropriate time frame; meets deadlines.
