Some of these political comments on Wind Energy are comical!!!

Description
First of all, this is not Democrats vs Republicans. This is about facts. Texas Power Grid is deregulated. Texas is the only state ( 1 out of 50) where its power grid does not cross state lines. Hence, no federal regualtion. Because of no investments to winterize transmission lines and equipment, Texas Power Grid "will never be ready" for extreme cold weather. The federal government completed a study years ago recommending Texas spend money on investments in upgrading their power grid for the situation we have now. The federal government can not make Texas do anything concerning its Power Grid. Period! So blaming the Green New Deal is BS. All energy failed. Wind, solar, gas, coal, and nuclear. So the real issue are these electricity companies going to upgrade their systems for winters to come. My guess, 100% yes, because now it has become political. There will be a cost for these upgrades so hopefully, we customers are not charged too much. Again, the federal government can not make Texas do anything. => Another post I saw was that Trump won the election with a focus on total votes and votes being counted the next day. I wonder if this person believes that Jewish spaceships are causing the forest fires in California. Just a thought. => Facts on Wind Energy... and honestly it applies to all energy sources in Texas. Several wind turbine experts have told Newsweek that the situation in Texas could have been avoided if the turbines had been equipped with what are known as cold weather packages, which can involve a number of precautions such as heating up turbine components and lubricants. Samuel Brock, a spokesman for the American Clean Power Association, told Forbes on Tuesday it "hasn't been necessary" to install such kits in Texas where the climate is generally warm. Benjamin Sovacool, professor of energy policy at the University of Sussex in the U.K., told Newsweek: "In Northern Europe, wind power operates very reliably in even colder temperatures, including the upper Arctic regions of Finland, Norway, and Sweden. "As long as wind turbines are properly maintained and serviced, they can operate reliably in temperatures well below zero. Humans, to carry out servicing and maintenance and operation, are the most important factor, not the weather." P.s. I like all energy options. -D
