Job Description This job description is a general guideline of the responsibilities and duties of the Parts Department shipping, Receiving and Billing position, but could be used in other parts of the daily business. Some of the responsibilities include storing materials, picking, packaging (including building skids, crates) Filling orders, Billing parts to Jobs, loading/unloading trucks and shipping/receiving. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, Shop flow, and customer satisfaction. Duties and Responsibilities Order Preparation/Shipping ยท Help Parts manager with sales orders. Strong computer skills and communicating with freight companies on all orders. Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area. Prepare and complete orders for delivery/shipping or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship) Applying Parts to jobs in the shop. Do bill out for parts. Packages and builds pallets, crates, etc. Receiving Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store) Open packages, crates, and other containers Inventory Must have experience and be able to do inventory counts. General Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers Operate and maintain preventative warehouse vehicles and equipment Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations. Follow safety standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations. Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat. Sweep, dust, and mop. always Organize warehouse and work area for clean and safe working environment. Qualification requirements Computer experience a Must for Billing and posting parts 2-4 years forklift experience 2-4 years previous warehouse experience High School diploma or equivalent preferred Good communication, organizational, time management, mathematical skills Experience building skids and other containers to safely protect product in shipment. Proven working experience in shipping, Receiving and Billing. Good organizational and time management skills; ability to work independently Ability to lift heavy objects Ability to operate a fork lift safely and efficient, following safety policies. Working environment: 70% time standing 30% sitting Heavy lifting; 50 to 100 lbs.
