Copper River Country Club has an immediate opening for Head Mechanic for our Golf Course Maintenance department. Job Purpose: Responsible for all golf course maintenance equipment and repairs. Responsible for making major and minor repairs on a variety of gasoline, diesel, and electric powered equipment. Specific Responsibilities: • Coordinate and schedule all equipment for repairs and/or maintenance • Inspect, diagnose and repair mechanical problems for all maintenance equipment • Conduct and effective preventative maintenance program for golf course equipment • Keep repair and maintenance records on all equipment • Set mowing heights and sharpen blades on cutting units • Ability to do light fabrication and welding • Assure proper disposal of all related hazardous materials • Perform other duties assigned by superintendent or related manager • Maintain a clean shop area and keep it orderly and efficient Responsible for administrative duties in relation to maintenance shop operation, including but not limited to receiving, inventory control, safety checklists for equipment and purchasing. • Responsible for oil and gasoline inventory • Assist on capital equipment purchases • Responsible for continuing education of employees in terms of safety programs and equipment • Maintain shop in orderly condition, cleaning working areas after repairs are completed Education/Experience: High school degree or equivalent - Required Minimum two years’ experience in turf equipment repair or related field Working knowledge of general operation of diesel, gas and two-cycle, hydraulic and electrical systems and small engine repair - Required. Special Requirements • Must be highly motivated, and a self-starter • Must have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions • Must have the ability to work in a team environment and have ability to multi task. • Valid driver's license. - Required.
