Full-time custodian needed for Harvey location Responsibilities for Custodian (Floor Techs and Supervisors will have additional): Maintain building floor cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them Clean Classrooms, remove trash, replenish supplies Clean and supply restrooms Follow and complete schedules Maintain storage areas Communicate with supervisors about unsafe conditions or concerning the need for repairs or maintenance Qualifications for Custodian High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required Previous experience in custodial or floor care. No criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment. Responsible, high-integrity, high-standards Ability to work well independently and with a team. Ability to keep up-to-date with workplace techniques, methods, and improvements Ability to read and interpret written information; ability to write clear statements; ability to communicate orally Must be able to do physical work and operate standard custodial equipment Attention to detail Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments Ability to follow directions from a supervisor (Supervisor candidates MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE) Employees must be cautious and employ proper safety standards. Must be able to work in the following situations: · Balancing, bending, climbing, crouching, kneeling, reaching, and/or standing. · Lifting, carrying, and moving supplies/equipment, up to 50 lbs.
