Position Title: Day Porter Department: Facilities Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor Break away from your day-to-day grind and once again love your work. We are a private school set up like a college campus in a beautiful, park-like setting in the West Hills of Portland. This position is an opportunity to work indoors and outside and truly enjoy the campus community. We educate over 600 children, pre-school through 12th grade. Our team’s energy level is high, we enjoy great support, and the work is varied and always changing to meet the needs of our community. We welcome and value employees with diverse life experience. You will be part of a team of day porters who work together year-round to maintain the campus and support events. Their supervisor directly works with and trains the team, and assists in the daily work. This is a ground-floor opportunity to build professional work relationships, do challenging work, and grow through experience and training. Duties include: •Variety of campus support tasks, including recycling/trash pick up, general and project cleaning •Event support, set-up and take-down, restocking, locking up •Light maintenance, as qualified and with interest in training •Driving vehicles and using equipment to support set-up and cleaning tasks You are: •Enthusiastic and able to work in a physical job, inside and outside, 40 hours a week, including some weekends •Clean and neat in appearance •Aware of your surroundings, safety conscious, careful around students •Motivated to try, learn new skills, and always be service-oriented We offer: Starting pay of $17.75/ hour 10 vacation days plus holidays 15 days PTO Medical, dental, and vision benefits Employer-matched retirement fund 403b Opportunity to learn and grow professionally If this sounds like the opportunity for you, please apply at:.
