Our fast-growing full-service lawn care and landscape construction company is searching for hard-working, dependable and experienced Sod Installers to work with our team! Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Zenith Home Services is a family-owned company that maintains residential and commercial properties by installing and maintaining landscaping, irrigation, and lighting systems in the greater Charlotte area. We hire independent contractors to represent our company for these jobs. This is not a W-2 position. You will be paid 1099. We serve all of Charlotte as well as surrounding cities such as Matthews, Mount Holly, Mint Hill, Huntersville, Indian Trail, Cornelius, Concord, Gastonia, Kannapolis, Monroe, Mooresville, Kings Mountain & Lincolnton, NC. The sod will be provided but you must have your own vehicle and tools. We need reliable installers who are ready and available for work. Key Responsibilities: - Install mulch and sod. Remove grass and plants. Trimming/ blowing/ planting/ weeding/ and other landscape detail work as needed. - Haul and/or spread topsoil/dirt with the proper tools. - Use manual hand tools such as shovels, rakes, picks and wheelbarrows. Move soil, equipment, and materials. Operate landscaping power equipment, mowers, trimmers and blowers Candidate Requirements: - Minimum 1 year related industry experience - Spanish language a plus (but not required) - Must be able to perform physical labor for prolonged periods of time in a wide range of climatic conditions including extremes of heat and cold. - Must be able to lift and carry objects 50 to 90 pounds. - Must have a current, valid driver’s license. - Be able to pass a drug test and background check.
