Texas talks big about seceding from the union yet is always looking for a handout from the Feds. When Hurricane Harvey hit, they were begging for help from the Federal government. They wanted their own power grid, not subject to Federal regulations and now that it's failed miserably, they are once again begging for Federal disaster relief. Ted Cruz says he's against "socialism" but doesn't mind in the least, begging for "socialism" for his state. The governor knows his secessionist policies have caused this disaster, he's deflecting, trying to use this opportunity to say it shows that green energies won't work.............although over 70% of their power comes from fossil fuels and it's failing them. Although I feel sorry for those in Texas who are suffering from this disaster, I hope they wake up and stop voting for the morons who got them into this predicament. There's a statement that Mayor Tim Boyd of Colorado, Texas made over which he had to resign and can be found with a simple Google search. Look it up and read it. He basically chastises victims desperately seeking disaster relief, telling them to take care of themselves, that it's a "sink or swim moment" that it's not the government's responsibility to help. This clown then admitted it was what he thinks, he is only sorry that he let it be known. An uncaring, unsympathetic, cold hearted POS shouldn't even be allowed to be a resident, let alone the mayor. It's those who share his views............until it's they themselves, who need help, that elect scum like this. Those who think nothing is real until it happens to them deserve a taste of all the bad things that happen to others. For some, the natural human emotion of empathy that we are all born with has somehow been erased and they need a rude reminder of why it was there in the first place.
