IEH-JL Analytical Laboratories is now accepting applications for Field Technician/Courier at its facility in Modesto, CA. Job entails driving a company vehicle/van to pick-up samples at assigned locations and deliver to the lab for analysis. Must be able to properly store products and specimen samples and other materials in provided containers. The position will either have an assigned route or be assigned routes on a rotating basis. Must be able to regularly lift 50 pounds several times per day, have a flexible schedule and be available to work on weekends, holidays, and overtime, as needed. Must have a valid CA Class C driver's license with a CLEAN DRIVING RECORD. Must be able to complete light duty work in the laboratory. Must have some science knowledge/training/education. Must report to work on time, follow company attendance policy and adhere to the company code of grooming and dress code policies, appearing neat and clean at all times. Must have the ability to follow instructions, maintain accurate required records and documentation, read a map, and have the ability to gather and pick-up samples following established protocol and procedures. You will be responsible for learning multiple routes and must ensure that all samples are collected accurately and on time. You are expected to communicate appropriately with clients, coworkers, managers, and the general public as a company representative. You will be responsible for stocking supplies as needed and maintaining the vehicle in a properly supplied and clean state. Previous route driving experience and customer service is a plus.
