The 90's were NOT all about Beanie Babies, Vanilla Ice, Rosanne Barr, and The Macarena. The ‘90s witnessed a new awakening in rock music. The glam metal scene, which dominated the ‘80s music industry, faded away as the grunge revolution came to prominence. New alternative genres grew in prominence. The epic sound often associated with mainstream rock bands was now prevalent in non-mainstream acts. While hard rock and heavy metal continued to enjoy mainstream success, it was alternative rock that became the defining musical movement of the ‘90s. The alternative scene became hugely popular and spawned a new era in music. Us Gen-Xers in charge of Barrels & Amps bring you a dedicated night to such music, starting with Allison Change (Alice in Chains acoustic tribute duo). Headling the evening is Kill the Noise. This trio of local musicians has created a band dedicated to all things alt-90's performing songs from Weezer, Blur, Blink-182, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Hole, Third-Eye Blind, and many more... Doors open at 7PM. The music begins at 8PM. Food and drink specials available all night. $5 advance ticket or $10 at the door. Capacity is limited. Must be 21 to enter.
