MALDEN, MA — Federal authorities have doubled the reward for information about Qinxuan Pan, a Malden man wanted for questioning in the murder of a Yale graduate student. The U.S. Marshals said last week Pan may be in Georgia and should be considered "armed and dangerous." The reward for Pan's capture now stands at $10,000. There is a warrant for his arrest on charges of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution and interstate theft of a vehicle. Yale student Kevin Jiang, 26, was fatally shot Feb. 6 in the East Rock neighborhood of New Haven, CT. Pan is described as 6 feet tall, approximately 170 pounds, with a medium complexion and short black hair. He was last seen driving with family members in Brookhaven or Duluth, GA late last week, the U.S. Marshals said. The warrant stems from the shooting of Jiang, but authorities have not gone as to far to say he pulled the trigger. "I'm not saying he's the shooter at this point," New Haven Police Chief Otoniel Reyes said last Wednesday.
