Press release from the Des Moines Public Schools: February 15, 2021 Congratulations to a trio of grapplers from Lincoln and the combined Hoover/North teams on qualifying for this week's Iowa State Wrestling Tournament. DMPS wrestlers who will be competing at the state meet are: 113: Aime Mukiza, senior – North 170: Mickey Griffith, junior – Lincoln 285: Orlando Fuentes, senior – North Griffith is the defending State champion in Class 3A in the 170lb division. For Mukiza, it is his fourth time qualifying for the state tournament. The state wrestling tournament is at Wells Fargo Arena this Thursday through Saturday.
