TOMS RIVER, NJ — The makeover continues at Ocean County Mall, where HomeSense is set to be the newest store opening at the site. The 28,000-square-foot store is set to open Thursday and is located in what the mall is calling its "Lifestyle Center." The mall has seen a significant makeover since early 2018, when Sears, one of the original anchor stores, closed for good. Sears has been torn down, replaced by a new entrance to the mall, and new stores, including Ulta Beauty, Five Below and Sweetwater's Coffee & Tea, have been built in a portion of the mall property that was parking previously. HomeSense offers home furnishings from furniture and lighting to kitchen gadgets and decor, at discounted prices, according to its website.
