Littleton Police Offer $30K Reward In 2002 Homicide Case

LITTLETON, CO — Investigators are using new technology to analyze evidence from a 2002 triple homicide in Littleton, police said. The case remains unsolved, and the Littleton Police Department and Metro Denver Crime Stoppers are offering a $30,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest and conviction. James "Jim" Springer, 29, Erin Golla, 26, and Robert "Bobby" Zajac, 23, were shot to death on Jan. 27, 2002, at the AMF Broadway Bowling Alley, police said. Golla and Springer worked at the bowling alley, at 5485 S. Broadway, and Zajac was bowling there when all three were shot around 11:45 p.m., officials said. Golla's friend came to pick her up, and found the three dead just before midnight. A middle-aged white man was seen leaving the bowling alley several minutes after the shooting, police said. He had a medium build, a bald head, and was wearing a long, dark trench coat. He got into a dark pickup truck and drove south. The shooting may be linked to an attempted burglary that occurred several days prior, investigators said. "LPD is seeking the public's assistance and would like to promote community awareness and assure the victims' families that the LPD is still actively working this case," the Littleton Police Department said in a news release. "Advancements in fields such as genealogy and DNA analysis has led to resolution in many other cold cases."
