JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO — More than 36,000 coronavirus cases have been reported in Jefferson County since the pandemic began in Colorado, and 2,028 people have been hospitalized, according to public health data. As of Tuesday, 736 people have died in the county, according to Jefferson County Public Health. Among Jeffco municipalities, Morrison has the highest coronavirus rate per 1,000 people (263.16), followed by Wheat Ridge (74.69) and Lakewood (70.67). Between Monday afternoon and Tuesday afternoon, 425 new coronavirus cases were reported in our state, according to data posted by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
