WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — The Western Springs Police Department released its latest blotter. Here is information from the police reports: Gerard Perzyna, 64, of Brookfield, was arrested Friday at Tuesday Morning home goods store, 4700 Gilbert Ave., on a charge of theft under $500. According to a police report, Perzyna, a store manager, was accused of completing fraudulent returns from cash purchases and keeping the cash. According to his LinkedIn page, Perzyna had been an employee at the store since 2011. Daniel M. Knowa, 24, of Chicago, was arrested Feb. 9 on a charge of burglary. He was charged in connection with a November burglary in the 3900 block of Grand Avenue, police said. Cristian Osorio, 22, of Chicago, was arrested about 1 a.m. Saturday in the 4300 block of Wolf Road on charges of DUI, no valid driver's license and improper lane usage. He was arrested after he struck a tree with his car, according to a police report. Walgreens, 4700 Gilbert Ave., reported two women stole $250 worth of cosmetic products from the store about 6 p.m. Feb. 7. Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
