PLAINFIELD, IL – Plainfield South High School will host motivational speaker Ernest Crim on Thursday as part of the school's Black History Month celebration.
Crim, a social science teacher at Joliet Central High School, is the author of "Black History Saved My Life: How My Viral Hate Crime Led To An Awakening."
Crim and his wife were the target of a hate crime that went viral, and he will talk about his life experiences that prepared him to respond to that event.
All District 202 high school students are invited to attend the event, which will be held via Zoom at 6 p.m. Interested students can register for the program through Zoom using the ID: 882 4743 1542 and the Password: pshsbsa.
