Description

The BRA would like to offer these recommendations for the upcoming March 9th Town and School Elections. Please note that town offices are non-partisan. We favor those individuals who we feel would work with us to preserve the character of Bedford. TOWN COUNCIL For Town Council we have chosen to endorse: Kelleigh Murphy - About Kelleigh Murphy Bill Duschatko (incumbent) - Phil Greazzo (incumbent) - A dedicated father, small business owner, who served in the US Army, as a Bedford Town Councilor, as well as an Alderman and State Representative for West Manchester several years ago. Before becoming self employed, Phil worked in the technology sector for Hewlett Packard, Texas Instruments and others. He is a strong fiscal conservative. He is committed to being actively involved in the community and is dedicated to making sure the town has strong advocates on the Council. Phil will continue to work for an efficient and accountable government that works for you. SCHOOL BOARD For School Board, we have chosen to endorse: Autumn Haskell - About Autumn Haskell Michael McCormick - Link: http://michaelrmccormick.org LIBRARY TRUSTEE Hank Vanderbeek (2 years) - About Hank Vanderbeek ZONING AMENDMENTS We recommend a YES vote on all three. You can read them here. Zoning Amendments March 9, 2021 Our take: 1 - It is always good to lower building heights. Bedford doesn't want or need skyscrapers in the PZ. 2 - We agree that we need to repeal the "overlay district". 3 - Take the power of giving 'waivers' away from the PB. Waivers violate laws YOU voted for. Please let your friends and family know and bring them with you to vote on Tuesday March 9, 2021.
