NEWTOWN, PA — A bomb threat was called into Council Rock High School North on Wednesday, prompting school officials to evacuate the building.
The threat came in after school was dismissed for the day, according to Susan O'Grady, community relations specialist for the district, who notified parents of the threat by email.
Students and staff that were still present in the building were moved to Saint Andrew Catholic Church, she said.
Police completed a full sweep of the high school by 3 p.m. and found the building to be safe, O'Grady said. The building has since been reoccupied and after-school activities have resumed.
The Newtown Township Police Department is investigating the threat.
