Bomb Threat Forces Azusa Pacific University Evacuation

LOS ANGELES, CA — Authorities evacuated Azusa Pacific University Wednesday evening following a series of threats, including a bomb threat made by telephone. Students and staff were directed to evacuate multiple Azusa Pacific University campuses, according to an alert sent out by the university. Though the university is offering remote learning during the pandemic, there are students who live on campus, and they have been instructed to shelter in place, CBS Los Angeles reported. Students not on campus were asked to stay away, as access to the university was blocked off. University officials said the evacuations included anyone at its numerous regional campuses, including Monrovia, Orange County, Koreatown, Inland Empire, High Desert, Murrieta and San Diego. According to university officials, the Azusa Police Department made the decision to evacuate the campuses while investigating the threat. Attention if you're around Azusa Pacific University.
