DUBLIN, CA — Want to spread a little kindness to local high school seniors missing out on so many of the usual upperclassmen festivities? Dublin parents have launched an "Adopt-a-Senior" program to send sweet surprises to the Class of 2021. Parents have created a Facebook group to share photos and favorite items of high school seniors. In turn, others can adopt the Dublin or Valley high school senior and send them some low-cost surprises. Gifts need not be given anonymously. Parents hope to ensure each high school senior is adopted at least once, according to the group. "This is a stressful time for everyone," they wrote.
