Live Music Returns To Downtown Cleveland

CLEVELAND — Brite Winter Music Festival is hosting small, outdoor performances in downtown Cleveland this week. Concerts will begin Wednesday and run through Sunday. Each concert will be held in Platform Beer Co.'s Phunkenship and The Lot on Lorain Avenue. All concerts will follow COVID safety protocols, organizers said. "This is our mini version of Homecoming Week for Brite Winter," said Morgan Passek, marketing and programming chair for Brite Winter. "While we wish we could gather and jam together with all of Cleveland this week, we're excited to get back to the roots of what Brite Winter is about in whatever small ways we can." Here's the lineup for the upcoming concerts: Wednesday: Brent Kirby, 6:30-8:30 p.m. | Patio at Phunkenship Thursday: Shawn Brewster, 6:30-8:30 p.m. | Patio at Phunkenship Friday: Watch Party for "TwiBrite Zone, Episode 2: Homecoming" Hosted and DJed by Jul Big Green, 6-7 p.m. and 8-9 p.m. at Platform's "The Lot" Saturday: Beat Freak, 6:30-8:30 p.m. | Patio at Phunkenship Sunday: Jason Patrick Meyers, 2-4 p.m. | Patio at Phunkenship Due to COVID-19, Brite Winter moved to smaller concerts and digital performances. On Friday, the festival will also air the next installment in its virtual streaming series "TwiBrite Zone: Episode 2: Homecoming." The episode will be broadcast at 7 p.m. on Facebook and YouTube. Episode 2 will cover the history of Homecoming events. Featured performers include Apostle Jones, 10K Movement featuring Candi Fresca, Gumbo Dance Party, Aldus Mustache, Susie Underwood and Haley Morris. "While hosting virtual events is not the same as the 'real' festival, it has provided an opportunity to shake things up, stretch ourselves creatively, and think about more ways to highlight the best of the Cleveland arts and culture scene in the dead of winter," said Brite Winter Managing Director Emily Hornack. Here's the schedule for subsequent episodes of the TwiBrite Zone: March 12 at 7 p.m. April 9 at 7 p.m.
