Greenwich Village ZIP codes are in the middle of the pack of Manhattan neighborhoods for the highest amount of residents vaccinated against the virus. Most of Harlem and other areas of Lower Manhattan have the lowest rates in the borough. The Upper East Side ZIP code 10021 had the highest fully vaccinated rate in the borough at 16 percent. All of the ZIP codes on the Upper West Side and Upper East Side have vaccination rates of at least 9 percent, most of which are over 10 percent. The highest Manhattan COVID-19 infection rates by ZIP codes do not correspond with the highest vaccination rates. The Upper West Side and Upper East Side ZIP codes all have seven-day positive rates of under 3 percent, according to the latest data from the city. Whereas COVID-19 positive rates in many Harlem and Washington Heights ZIP codes are currently over 7 percent, but two-shot vaccination rates in those areas sit between 4 and 6 percent.
