UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — At least 9 percent, and in many cases, double digit percentages of Upper East Side residents have been least partially and vaccinated against the coronavirus, making the portion of New York City the most heavily vaccinated, according to data released by city health officials on Tuesday. The Lenox Hill neighborhoods of the Upper East Side registered the highest percentage of residents who have received some form of the vaccines, according to data. In Lenox Hill, up to 16 percent of people had received at least one dose of the vaccines, while 15 percent of residents had been fully vaccinated, data showed,. Additionally, the highest Manhattan COVID-19 infection rates by ZIP codes do not correspond with the highest vaccination rates. The Upper West Side and Upper East Side ZIP codes all have seven-day positive rates of under 3 percent, according to the latest data from the city. Whereas COVID-19 positive rates in many Harlem and Washington Heights ZIP codes are currently over 7 percent, but vaccination rates sit between 4 and 6 percent. Check out the full dataset below:
