North State Mechanical, Inc. has an immediate opening for a highly motivated and detail oriented individual for a fast pace Construction Company as a Purchasing Assistant. Applicants should have at least 3 years’ experience in the construction industry, preferably in mechanical construction, experience in purchasing materials, tools and inventory skills a plus. Job Related Requirements • Operate fork lift • Load and unload trucks • Pull B stock/ A stock materials from warehouse • Issue/ remove tools and materials • Verify material quantities delivered and shipped • Make phone calls to place orders for equipment/trailers, dumpsters etc… • Communicate with venders, suppliers and construction team • Assist with material/ tool inventory’s • Monitor, check and update spreadsheets in excel for material, tools, equipment and etc…. • Assist with writing purchase orders and agreements • Pickup/deliver materials and tools • Must be able to function in fast moving environment Qualifications/Skills • Valid real ID driver’s license • Operate fork lift • Excel/office computer skills • Phone, fax and email skills • Self-motivated and strong work ethic • Detail oriented • Knowledge of Construction/ mechanical materials a must
