JOB DESCRIPTION:
Perform industry standard PM 1 and PM2 on vehicles/equipment, change out batteries and repair and replace tires as requested by immediate supervisor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE:
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Flexibility, organization, decision-making and problem solving skills.
Interpersonal skills with diverse populations in-person and on the telephone.
Ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects.
Proficiency in the use of testing equipment and other hand and power tools.
Knowledge of all applicable codes, regulations and laws.
Ability to mount, dismounts and repair tires on all types and sizes of vehicles within specified time limits.
Ability to Perform Emission certifications in accordance with the Albuquerque/ Bernalillo County Vehicle Pollution Management Program (VPMD).
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED.
Must be 21 years of age.
Valid New Mexico driver’s license with insurable driving record.
Four years of experience in Light line Auto Technician work including tire repairs.
Skilled in the use of tire machinery.
CDL with P&S endorsements within 90 days
We will do the training and testing for CDL.
