Here at Yachtfish Marine we are approaching our busy season. We need enthusiasts to learn the trade of Marine Repair and Maintenance. Yachtfish Marine in Port Orchard is looking for qualified individuals that would like to work for a professional boatyard. Here at Yachtfish we take pride in the work we provide and need people with integrity and professionalism. Prior service and training in the marine industries would have preference. Pay is DOE and there is a 90 day probation period. To perform the daily work at Yachtfish Marine as a Technician, you must meet certain physical requirements  Ability to bend, squat, stoop, crawl, and kneel.  Perform prolonged standing.  Ability to turn head and body from side to side.  Lift/push/pull a battery weighing 60 pounds without assistance on a regular basis.  Able to work on ladders, scaffolding, and on top of the vessels while hauled out.  The ability to safely and appropriately use required tools and equipment.  Possess sufficient handgrip and coordination to carry and operate tools and equipment.  Ability to utilize personal protective equipment (closed toe shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs, goggles, respirator, safety harness, safety lines, floatation gear, etc.) safely per OSHA standards.  Ability to work in inclement weather conditions including heat, humidity and sun and rain.  Observe all safety signs, notices and understand safety procedures, and attend safety meetings.
